As co-founder and principal of Covalent Logic, an integrated communcations firm, Stafford Kendall has a proven track record of bringing innovative communication strategies to life. Under her leadership, Covalent Logic has garnered a stellar reputation among its clients and peers for producing brilliant concepts and genius technical solutions.

Working with a variety of public, private and non-profit organizations, Stafford has helped develop a number of award-winning advertising and branding campaigns. Covalent Logic recently won the 2011 Bulldog Awards for Excellence in Media and Public Relations Campaigns for HiltonGlobalMediaCenter.com. Hundreds of sites were judged by working journalists, who assessed them on the basis of their ability to achieve extraordinary visibility and influence opinion, as well as on their creativity, command of media and technology, and tenacity. This is the 17th national or international award the firm has brought home to Louisiana in the past year, beating the corporate press websites of such giants as Intel, Adidas and Texas Instruments.

In 2008, the Baton Rouge Downtown Development District’s Wayfinding Signage Program, which was recognized by the International Downtown Association as the overall best-in-show for Outstanding Achievement in 2008. Throughout her career, Kendall has received a number professional and community awards including gold and silver ADDY™ awards from the American Advertising Federation and a national gold Telly™ award for video production. In 2007, she received the Women in Media Award of Excellence.

As a an active player in the Web world since the term was coined in 1992, Kendall also serves as the Chief Internet Strategist for numerous clients, including the Louisiana Governor’s Office, Woman's Hospital and the Louisiana Community and Technical College System. Most recently, Kendall helped rebrand the Louisiana Department of Children and Family Services and relaunch its Web site, dcfs.louisiana.gov. Featuring a user-friendly design, the agency’s new logo, updated information, and easy-to-use links, the Web site embodies the agency’s renewed commitment to transparency and access, and now serves as a resource for social service clients, providers and members of the general public.

Kendall studied Eastern European politics at Boston College and received a Bachelor of Arts degree in political science from LSU, where she graduated Phi Beta Kappa. She also completed two years of postgraduate work in Education at LSU. Always committed to broadening her knowledgebase and staying up-to-date on the latest trends and technology, Kendall has participated in numerous educational seminars and mentoring sessions including the World Usability Tour with Jakob Nielson (useit.com), C|Net Builders Live!, and the Newspaper Association of America’s Marketing, Interactive and Advertising Conference.

Kendall is actively involved in her community. She sits on the Advisory Board for the Regional Innovation Organization founded by the Baton Rouge Area Chamber. Previously, she was chairman of the board of Family Road of Greater Baton Rouge, a local non-profit founded by Woman’s Hospital to provide leadership and coordinate services for families in the Greater Baton Rouge area. She has also served on committees and boards for Leadership Greater Baton Rouge and the Advertising Federation of Greater Baton Rouge.
