Baton Rouge Metropolitan Airport “It’s About Time” Campaign Receives North American Marketing Award

ACI-NA Recognizes BTR as Video and Film Production Winner of the Excellence in Airport Marketing, Communications and Customer Service Awards

WASHINGTON - Airports Council International-North America (ACI-NA) announced Baton Rouge Metropolitan Airport as a 2018 winner for Video and Film Productions for its campaign “It’s About Time,” released earlier this year. This category recognizes best overall production of an airport video, film, web commercial or television commercial.

“Our industry’s ability to tell the dynamic and compelling story of airports is extremely important to helping us advance as an industry,” said ACI-NA President and CEO Kevin M. Burke. “Airports like BTR are going above and beyond in connecting with their passengers and amplifying their message about the airport’s essential role in their local communities. ACI-NA is delighted to applaud the innovative work and the talented individuals who are telling our industry’s story.”

The Excellence in Airport Marketing, Communications and Customer Service Awards recognize the quality of work, abundance of talent and creativity within the marketing, communications and customer service field of the airport industry.

“I’m honored that BTR has been acknowledged by our peers and the industry for our excellence in marketing. With an overall increase in passenger volume and new non-stop flights to Austin and Orlando, BTR is growing in all the right ways,” said Mike Edwards, acknowledging the first award received at BTR since his appointment as the Director of Aviation.

“Unlike some categories, this one was not awarded by airport size classifications, so BTR was competing against the largest airports throughout North America. We appreciate the excellent work by Covalent Logic and the team at Digital FX in developing our “It’s About Time” campaign,” said Jim Caldwell, Marketing, Public Relations, and Air Service Development Manager at BTR.
