After ten years working at the intersection of industrial safety and communications, Account Manager Theresa Stewart has become a Certified Occupational Safety Specialist (COSS) through the Alliance Safety Council. Through a series of rigorous courses, practical training and testing, Stewart passed the certification program and is now certified to identify industrial hazards on-site, determine regulatory requirements and perform risk analysis. With more than 10 years of communications experience, Stewart is qualified to lead safety communications programs for industrial and commercial clients.

Covalent Logic has more than 18 years working in the industrial sector throughout south Louisiana, in the Houston area, in Nova Scotia and in other parts of North America. Industrial-focused team members have donned steel-toed boots and speak in acronyms, now Stewart’s second language. Stewart’s new certification teases the company’s effectiveness in serving clients with the ability to understand industry-speak, create and effectively present safety training presentations and develop and maintain safety programs.

“According to the Alliance Safety Council, the COSS program offers participants the opportunity to deepen their knowledge of occupational safety and health,” said Julie Donald, senior director of strategy at Covalent Logic. “With very few teams holding this certification and decades of experience in communications, Covalent is strategically positioned to lead our clients in their safety programs and goals, and strategy is what we do best.”
