Cleco Project Diamond Vault

When Cleco Power came to us with a new engineering project we were intrigued, excited and ready to be a part of history. We were tasked with helping Cleco inform the public about a planned carbon capture project at a Cleco facility—what it is and how it could have a positive local impact. We worked with the client to name the project, then keep the public up to speed on the project. We created two videos to accomplish our client’s goals. One video is an overview of the project and the other is more an interview style with a few of Cleco’s key project leads that help explain how carbon sequestration works. Our team drafted a storyboard and underwent a two-day shoot with the team. In addition to the video, we created posters, and hosted town hall meetings to make sure the public fully understood how this project, and the carbon capture process, might affect their communities.

Project Goals

The goal of this project was to inform the public about Project Diamond Vault, educate them on carbon sequestration and its community impact and ensure they understood the timeline of the project. 

Strategy

By utilizing a multi-channeled approach, we reached the local towns and neighboring residents through direct mail, townhalls, a landing page, public meetings, videos, stakeholder educational sessions and flyer dissemination. All materials were branded cohesively, to give identity to the project in order to funnel and manage all related questions and concerns.
